August 3, 2010 Contractor Bidding Meeting

This last week the Building Committee was to meet with the final three general contractors to receive their bids.  However, after discussions with our Architect and the contractor assisting in the Value Engineering, some significant improvements to the drawings were reviewed and adopted. Although we now need to invest some time in making the associated changes to the construction drawings, the end result will be a better and less costly building design.  We are looking to have the drawing improvements accomplished in the next few weeks with a follow up design/value engineering review meeting, final drawing changes, if necessary, followed by transmittal of the drawings to the contractors still in the bidding process.  We will keep you informed of the progress.

12/14/08 Faith Promise Building Update
Initially, 500 response cards were sent out to the church body.  This past Sunday we received 78 cards back with 17 individuals/families who committed to monthly contributions totalling $12,893.55 per month.  Over the next 18 months, that would result in $232,084.00.  This means that with approximately 15% of the church families having responded, we are at about $340,000 toward our goal of $1.7 million.  Thank you to those of you who submitted your faith promise last week.
